According to Dr. Ajay Kumar Ajmani, Endocrinologist at BLK Super Speciality Hospital stated that several pieces of research have confirmed that patients with high glucose levels are prone to cardiovascular disease at a budding age. Dr. Ajmani further said that new research has also shown that individuals with unexplored diabetes are at a huge risk of heart attacks. Hence, to decrease such dangers, regular health checkups are necessary.

As per Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj, gynecologist, obstetrician and IVF expert at Nurture IVF Centre, high levels of blood sugar puts pregnant women at a huge danger of congenital malformations in the fetus that includes 

  • cardiovascular defects,
  • Urinary tract infections
  • caudal syndrome 

and a number of other defects.
